CLM Cable Department provides project management, construction, and maintenance services in cable installation disciplines such as electrical distribution mains, electrical transmission mains, ASP1 electrical installations and communication mains.
Our Projects Management teams have vast experienced working in all environments ranging from high profile, high traffic areas in Sydney CBD to urban and rural areas.
Electrical Distribution Mains
Since 1999 CLM has been contracted by Energy Australia on their Underground Distribution cable laying and related works contract. This contract is ongoing, with CLM crews completing distribution cable installations in all of Energy Australia’s network areas including Sydney CBD, Sydney Southern, Sydney Northern, Central Coast, Newcastle and Hunter regions.
CLM are also engaged by Integral Energy on a similar panel in a Joint Venture with UEA Pty Ltd. Works on this panel include directional drilling (which is undertaken by UEA Pty Ltd) and open trench installations (undertaken by CLM) of distribution cables on Integral Energy’s network.
Transmission mains
CLM have also completed many transmission cable installation works for Energy Australia. Projects completed include tunnel installations involving design and installation of cable installation equipment, open trench installations including construction of jointing chambers and transmission duct line trenches, multiple conduit banks and directional drilling and boring.
ASP1 Installations
CLM gained its Accredited Service Provider Level 1 accreditation in October 2000 with both Integral Energy and Energy Australia. We have completed many projects including residential and industrial subdivisions, substation installations and supply/augmentation to new developments.
These projects involve underground cabling, overhead line work, jointing, directional drilling and boring, and commissioning.
Communication Mains
Installation of major telecommunications infrastructure including multiple conduit banks, cast in situ as well as precast pits, low impact pit and pipe systems, internal building work, open cut and directional drilling, fibre optic cable installations, communications infrastructure design and route selection.
